Placerville was the central hub for the Mother Lode region's mining operations in the 1850's. Today, Placerville has lodging, fine dining restaurant, several wineries & vineyards, and a general store. The history of hard-rock mining is evidenced by an open and accessible Gold Bug Park & Mine, now a museum with tours and books.

Sierra Vista Vineyards & Winery - A fundraiser to benefit those who were affected by the recent Candor fire is being planed. This event is planned from 12:00-8:30pm and will have 6 bands playing throughout the event. Food trucks, kid friendly activities, and a silent auction is being planned.
